ARIEL::1940 ARIEL RED HUNTER

This is a 500 cc single cylinder machine. This quality machine is one of the last pre-war Red Hunters. Produced in late 1940 it was imported directly into Pasadena CA. Production of the Red Hunter was stopped during the war and resumed again in late 1945.This machine is a fine example of a factory original machine. The suspended rear frame was an option on 1940 and fairly rare to find. The dash includes a “red dot” amp, correct speedometer, and correct detachable work light. This machine was not road worthy when brought into Southern California. It has recently had a refreshment of the engine, tranny, brakes, and various assemblies. It is road worthy and reliable with over 500 road miles to prove its worthiness. Take a good look at the pictures. It has great original parts. This is a rare, hard to find piece of art that you can ride!

MILEAGE: The machine has about 500 miles on the mechanical rebuild by a respected mechanic.

CHROME: Minimal but excellent shape

MECHANICAL: The machine has recently under gone a complete mechanical refreshment and is road worthy. Starts correctly, idles well, and is smooth through the gears.
