Overview

SOLD!!

This 1959 Panhead was purchased direct from the dealer in 1959. It is now in control of the grandson who would like it to go to a good home. The bike has been under a cover in the garage since 1984. It kicks through nicely, and it is well cared for in a secure garage.  The bike is reported to have been restored in 1974 by Paul Greenwood aka “Panhead Paul” and put away. The paint on sheet metal looks so good that it is suspected to be a repaint. The family believes it was given top-end service in the early 80’s.

This is a correctly colored and badged FLHF with the correct instruments for a foot shift and correct foot shift mechanics.

“Panhead Paul” Greenwood

“This 1959 Panhead is now ready for the road after being rebuilt in 1974 and then never ridden since. After recently (July 2018) making a few adjustments and a good going over, a battery, and carburetor rebuild etc. I just returned it to the grandson of the owner who passed away back in the early 80’s. I was first to ride it in 44 years. An Heirloom passed down through generations.”

Paint

The paint is in excellent shape and carries a great shine, check the pictures. There are no major scratches or flaws visible. The family states that the bike was restored around the mid-70's but they don't recall if the sheet metal was repainted. I suspect that is a repaint.

Sheet Metal

Sheet metal is original and in excellent shape. No dings or dents.

Chrome

Chrome is in excellent shape for its age. Badges and fender trim are original, factory correct.

Mechanical

This bike has not been run since 1984. It was operated correctly during its life and there is no reason to believe that it won’t continue to be a great runner.

This is a matching belly number machine.
