Overview

One of my favorite bikes to ride, this 1941 Indian Sport Scout was purchased from John Rank in 2004 and fully restored over a 5 year period. The engine and transmission were fully rebuilt by John Rank with the assistance of Tom Fickau of Fickau Prototypes. The tanks are original, but have been disassembled and fully rebuilt. The fenders are steel reproductions from Iron Horse Corral. The frame and fork were jig straightened by John Bivens. For performance, the engine was upgraded to full Bonneville specs at Kiwi Indian. The M642 carb was rebuilt by Cotten of Liberty Motorcycle Specialties, and the generator was rebuilt by Indian Frank. The old mechanical regulator housing was gutted and a modern electronic voltage regulator was fitted into the housing. This upgrade allows you to utilize your lights without worrying about burning up the battery. The speedometer was completely rebuilt by Janus Napierala of Canada and is correct for the bike. This bike is completely correct from fender tip to fender tip. If you’ve never ridden a Bonneville Sport Scout, you don’t know what you are missing. They will run with a Indian Chief but handle like a sport bike. This bike also sports a magneto ignition.
