Overview

 

The 1946 Harley Davidson EL Knucklehead is and was an incredible motorcycle. This particular motorcycle started life at the factory and then it morphed into a Bobber which has been featured in two different magazines because of its incredible beauty and ability! This 1946 Harley EL Knucklehead retains its original factory born frame, springer front end, engine, and transmission. The remainder of this ride has been customized with an eye towards beauty and function for all to see. Originally bobbed and used as a trailer queen, this motorcycle is a rider, built to run, stop, and perform. The bike has an Arizona Title with current registration, is insured, and is ridden often. Seller says it is time for someone else to enjoy the fun, so it is available for your riding and polishing pleasure!

Mileage

No odometer available. Referenced to about 1000 miles on the bike after the 2016 rebuild and custom restoration.

Paint

The paint on this motorcycle is gorgeous. The glossy black wet look is highlighted by an excellent orange stripping job and accented by the orange hubs and nipples in the rims

Sheet Metal

Sheet metal is in excellent condition and well fit. Gas tank is solid and does the job required of holding the gas without leaks!

Chrome

Chrome was properly prepared and was excellently completed during the restoration. It takes and holds a great shine.

Mechanical

This motorcycle is in outstanding mechanical condition. The power train is original HD outer but rebuilt and upgraded inner during the 2014 restoration and upgrade. The engine and transmission were torn down and rebuilt with quality parts to ensure that the beauty could live on the road. It is smooth and powerful. The front and rear hubs were enhanced with modern components including disk brake assemblies. Ignition was altered to electronic ignition from a 12 volt system. The lights are 12 volt and brake light is LED for safety

Wheel & Tires

Rims are painted steel with Stainless steel spokes and painted nipples.
Front Tire is Avon 2.15 X 21, basically new
Rear Tire in Avon 120 X 18, basically new
