Overview

This midget race car with Packard heritage is surprisingly intact. The first two pictures show the car as raced in the Los Angeles area in the 20’s. We are unsure at this point of the original engine but the chassis space, engine mounts and exhaust pipes indicate an inline 4 similar, if not equal to the 1918 Henderson 4 that is supplied with the chassis. The engine is seen in the back of the pictures. It has been rebuilt and has about 3500 break-in miles on it from the 2016 Cannonball!

The seller has run out of time and needs to get some projects out of his shed and into the hands of other preservationists.

Mileage: The included engine has about 3500 break-in miles

Paint: Some original paint with great patina on the body parts.

Sheet Metal: Sheet metal is in excellent condition and well fit. No sign of any repairs made or needed. No dings or dents found.

Chrome: Most shiny stuff on this motorcycle appears to have been nickel and in good condition.

Tires and Rims: Steel rims supporting wooden fellow band with wooden spokes.
Tires are old pneumatics that have died on the rims.
New tires have been secured and are available for the car.

Mechanical: This car is in position to be in great mechanical condition. The engine was completely rebuilt, and it successfully completed a 3500-mile Cannonball Run in 2016. It has good compression and has recently been tuned. Transmission shifts through the gears and the bike from which it was rescued rolled smoothly. The owner is a restorer of motorcycles. All mechanical items needed to make this a runner appears to be included in the sale.
