Overview

This is an original factory built 101 Indian Scout. It was found in a barn (pictures included) in Montana in 1985. It was just a bit too far gone for a barn fresh tune-up so the new owner opted for a complete, correct rebuild. The engine, metal work, and paint were all accomplished by famous names in the late 80’s. This restored motorcycle has approximately 5,000 miles on the restore and it barely shows. A close examination reveals paint chips that have been repaired. The bike needs some paint work on the tank where an effective repair has been completed. This 101 Indian Scout runs excellently and is smooth through the gears. The magneto was just rebuilt by Johnny Eagles. This quality machine is investor grade, ready to ride, and ready to show!

Mileage

Unknown exact mileage on the rebuild, 5,000 approximate. Minimal use since 1995. No miles showing on a non working speedometer.

Paint

Excellent quality paint and excellent application. Minimal road use indications except for the tank area that needs to be redone.

Sheet Metal

All original sheet metal was prepared by a professional, shows and fits very well.

Chrome

All shiny stuff is nickel and very well done.

Mechanical

This is a 45-inch engine that starts on the first kick if you know the drill. Mag was just repaired by Johnny Eagles and is a Blue Flamer! Bike is throaty and quick to throttle. Clutch is adjusted correctly and the tranny is smooth through the gears.

Wheels & Tires

Rims are painted safety rims and quality stainless spokes. Tires are Coker 400 X 18 with good sidewalls and plenty of road treads remaining.
