Description: This is a 1913 Indian Motorcycle, twin cylinder 1000 cc motorcycle. This is the first year that Indian made a specific model run that could be ordered as is or accessorized. Therefore, this model is the Standard Twin. This particular motorcycle was purchased as a basket case in Hershey PN in 1980. The bike came from The Boston area. It took a few years to get it sorted out and running and it has become a great runner. Current owner has put over 10,000 miles on it completing many pre-16 Minden rides and many AMCA rides on the west coast. Last engine rebuild was by Johnny Eagles in 2001. This bike has mostly original 1913 parts and it has seen partial restoration a few times so mis-match paint on top of the original, The bike is a good runner and has been used two-up many times, note the custom seat pad and foot pegs! It is a handful to ride and great fun!

This bike successfully climbed Bear Tooth Pass in 1989 during a Horseless Carriage car tour. It lost the rear exhaust nut on the way back to the hotel so a visit was made to a local farm where a welder was borrowed to re-attach the rear exhaust. Not Pretty but functional and repair remains in place today!

This motorcycle starts on the first ignition stroke if you know the drill, no pedaling required. Thanks in part to the hot mag, Thanks Johnny!

This Classic motorcycle has a clear CA Title and a non-op registration.
