Overview
This is a factory 1915 Indian Big Twin motorcycle with a 3-speed transmission. This is a beautiful 1000 cc, 3-speed Indian Twin. This 1915 Big is a very original and strong running bike. Most of the plating, as well as the paint on the chassis, is original with the fenders and tank repainted.
This bike competed in the original Motorcycle Cannonball, from Kitty Hawk NC to Santa Monica Pier. This Cannonball survivor has been in several publications, as well as the cover of the 2011 AMCA calendar. Several good photos, along with the story of the ride are found in Chris Simmons’ book, The American Motorcycle Girls Cannonball Diary.
The engine in this motorcycle was rebuilt to compete in the 2016 Cannonball but the rider was unable to compete because of a broken foot. This engine is fresh!
