Overview
The BMW R-66 motorcycle was one of the finest, most modern motorcycles of the pre-war motorcycles. This BMW motorcycle is one of less than 1600 R-66’s made between 1938-1940 Most were drafted into the Wehrmacht and subsequently lost during the WWII. This one was abandoned in Poland at the end of war, and was imported into the US in 1999. This is an older restoration, but is very presentable. The engine, gearbox, and final drive have been rebuilt, and it has run 6,957 km since being overhauled. This is a well-sorted motorcycle, and is a pleasure to ride. The sale’s price is representative of the quality of workmanship that has gone into the build.
