This 1942 Indian JR Scout is part of a collection of 1942 Civilian model motorcycles gathered for a private collection. This motorcycle is an example of the civilian JR Scout with all the correct colors, trim, and accessories. The engine is built with Indian Motoplane cylinders which are extremely hard to find. This creates a displacement of 42 inches or almost 20 horse power. The engine has less than 200 miles and it was put up in dry storage 2 years ago. Engine and transmission restored by Doug Burnett. This motorcycle is ready for AMCA judging, polishing, and cruising; take your pick or do all three.

Sheet Metal
Sheet metal is in excellent condition and well fit. Most of the sheet metal is original Indian product. Reproduction sheet metal from Iron horse corral as needed.

Excellent re-chroming during the restoration.
Mechanical
This motorcycle is in outstanding mechanical condition. Engine and tranny were built by Doug Burnett, an accomplished Indian motorcycle powerplant builder. Bike is ready for correct break-in miles. This engine has Motoplane cylinders which are extremely rare. This makes this sporty motorcycle a 42-inch machine, Light and nimble.

Rims are painted steel with Stainless steel spokes and nipples.
