1946 HARLEY DAVIDSON FL KNUCKLEHEAD
This 1946 Harley Davidson FL Knucklehead was discovered as a basket case a few years back. The seller decided it was time for a complete rebuild which was managed over a two-year period. This is an excellent build of a great motorcycle using primarily original parts. The engine and drive train were completed by a competent vintage Harley mechanic.
This bike was shown at the El Camino Swap meet in Oct of 2025 and was judged by AMCA qualified judges earning 93 points, not bad at all for first show! Point deductions were primarily for too much chrome and wrong hubs. This motorcycle is a first start machine if you know the drill.
MILEAGE: 5 Miles showing on a working speedometer. The bike needs a correct break-in.
PAINT: Black paint correctly prepared and applied, it takes an excellent shine and is flawless in appearance. Mostly correct use of Cad plating per factory standards.
SHEET METAL: Sheetmetal is original Harley and in excellent condition. Well fit and no dings or dents noted.
CHROME: Chrome on the bike is in excellent condition, freshly plated during restoration. Too much chrome for a concours build but excellent appearance on this bike.
MECHANICAL: Drive train had a complete rebuild during the restoration using quality parts. Work performed by a knowledgeable HD vintage mechanic.This bike starts on the first kick if you know the drill.
WHEELS & TIRES: Correct Harley rims with chrome spokes and nipples.
Front tire is a new Firestone 500 X 16.
Rear tire is a new Firestone 500 X 16.
