This is an older cosmetic restoration of a 1946 Indian Chief.
This 1946 Indian is an older restoration and appears to be original 1946 Indian parts. It has been in controlled storage for 6 years and barely ridden so it is time to move to a new owner. This is an excellent bike and a great runner. The bike has recently been serviced and polished, it is ready for show and go! This motorcycle has a clean California Title and it has current registration (Non-op). There is no information on the builder or the restorer.
MILEAGE: 3,416 miles showing on a working odometer.
PAINT: Correct paint scheme for the year model. Unknown when the bike was repainted but it is a great job, shows well. One scratch noted left side rear fender.
SHEET METAL: Original factory Sheetmetal well fit and without dings or dents noted. Gas tanks are clean and in excellent shape.
CHROME: Chrome on the bike is in outstanding shape and takes a great sheen. Appears to have all chrome items available at the time.
MECHANICAL: This bike is in excellent mechanical shape. Starts right up and is smooth through the gears. It has been in dry storage for a few years and there is no history on maintenance of the original owner. A good ride and complete service would be in order.
WHEELS & TIRES: Chrome plated Steel wheels with chrome spokes and nipples.
Front tire is Avon 500 X 16 in excellent shape, dated out.
Rear tire is Avon 500 X 16 in excellent shape, dated out.
