Overview
This 1950 Harley Davidson FL was purchased as a basket case in the early 1990′s. All parts were accounted for and used in the restoration with the exception of the gas tank and fenders that were too rust laden to salvage. Replicas were obtained from V-Twin in New York and are heavy gauge just as the originals. The wheels were also replaced due to structural concerns. The engine was completely rebuilt by the late Cliff Lamb, a longtime professional HD engine builder from Oregon/Calif. The build list of parts he put in the engine and transmission is available. The electrical system has been converted to 12 volts with a hidden solid-state voltage regulator and solid-state ignition breaker from “Quick Start 2000″. The bike is set up as a rider and has been on several AMCA tours. Also included is a period-correct replica windshield.

Approximately 2000 on the rebuild/restoration.

Bright and shiny from the restoration. Maximum use where needed which is period correct.

This bike was assembled by the owner, a diligent gear head. Engine was one of the last to be assembled by a very respected, old school, Harley builder. It is very sound, reliable, and correctly run in.
